Lord Shiva represents the aspect of the Supreme Being and is considered to be the destroyer of evil and sorrow. He is the source of fertility in all living beings. He has gentle as well as fierce forms. Shiva is the greatest of renouncers as well as the ideal lover. He destroyes evil and protects good. He bestows prosperity on worshipers although he is austere. He is omnipresent and resides in everyone as pure consciousness. There are different Rudras like 1. Rudra 2. Laghu Rudra 3. Maha Rudra 4. Ati Rudra In Rudra Pooja we do in this way Rudra Path- When we do 11 Rudra Path is called – Rudra Abhishek When we do 121 Rudra Path or 11 Rudra is called- Laghu Rudra abhishek When we do 1331 Rudra Path or 11 Laghu Rudra is Called – Maha Rudra Abhishek When we do 14641 Rudra Path or 11 Maha Rudra Abhishek is called- Ati Rudra Abhishek In this puja Lord Shiva is worshipped in the form of Linga or Lingam and abhishekam is performed with different articles like flowers, belpatra, milk, coconut water, honey, curd sugarcane juice etc Rudrabhisheka is believed to be a very good Abhishekam performed with powerful hymns/mantras and it fulfills all the wishes of the person who gets it performed. This Abhishekam bestows prosperity, fulfillment of all desires, it removes negativity, cut off the negative karma and give all round happiness in life
